Kindness and Compassion

Today was pretty fun. I read my Bible, I wrote my blog.. about to post it here in a few.. I watched movies with my family and had family time.. Pretty much a great day. Then I studied. Haha.

I was thinking aabout things along the lines of kindness and compassion earlier. We have this essay we are writing a rough draft for in Composition. The quote we started with was "Kindness gives to another, compassion knows no other" It was only to get our minds stirring for this esay, but I swear up and down...maybe even left and right that Ms. Wijntjes was once a motivational speaker.. Had to be.. She literally puts yu into the shoes of other people. I have been a compassionate person for a bit (ever since right before I was called to do mission work) and here lately it's been getting deeper. I have begun thinking about how I can be MORE compassionate. And then I realized it's no thinking thing! Compassion has started to just come to me! I understand why Jesus died for everyone. He had been in their place, He had been tempted and tried.. He had been there with the sinners and dined with them and told them stories. He loved them! Love people, people! Love them, love everyone!

Crave Life

Today was fun I guess. I studied...studied....studied...and oh yeah! Studied. And I am STILL not done. I went to Crave tonight. It was amazing. A guy names Stephen was saved last night at Great Escape. AMAZING! But now I am going to read Job 3-4. Night guys!

Prayer/Praise

Life is grand, God is great!

So thank you Lord for this beautiful life,

Today in the Wonderful Life of Lanie...

Today was a hectic day.... until I slept in my car for 3 hours between my 3rd class and my 4th class. Amazing!! I slept so good. But have you ever slept to great and woke up and felt like the whol time you were sleeping that someone was like....watching... you... Idk. I didn't feel it while I was sleeping, but when I woke up I felt like it had happened... I was in the Angelina parking lot. Haha, someone had to watch me at some point...plus I had the windows cracked...for fresh cool air... and I was sleepin heck-a-good... I might have snored haha! Oh well. everyone sleeps that deep at some point in their life. School and studying like crazy AND trying to find a new job... and planning a wedding... and a my birthday is comin up quick (friday the 29th of January!!) I'll be 19. Yay me! (Like London....I can't believe I've just used references from the Suite Life.. Dear Lord, help me. How can I do  that? Amen.) Now I'm about to post my Bible reading. I already write it though. Night

Day 8/365 Bible in a Year

Today I am reading Roman 3-4.
Chapter 3 starts out talking about how God stay faithful and ho we have forgiveness through Christ.The verse I'd enjoy pointing out here is Roamns 3:20. Read it. Read it again. Read it a third time.

"For noone can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sunful we are."

Ain't it so true?

But to show how faithful God is to us no matter how unfaithful we are to Him, welcome to Romans 3:3-4

"True, soe of them were unfaithful; but just because they were unfaithful, does that mean God will be unfaithful? Of course not! Even if everyone else is a liar, God is true. As the scripture says about Him, 'You will be proved right in what you say, and you will win your case in court.'"

That last part is in Psalm 51:4.

God is so faithful to us.

Romans 3:21 "But now God has shown us a way to be made right with Him..."

Romans 3:22 "We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ."

Romans 3:23 "For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God's glorious standard."

Have faith in Jesus, that's the way God meant it to be! He sacrificed His only Son, a pure sacrifice, to let us live the way we do. Yet, even now we have places like Somod and Gamorrah... guys! Come on!

Chapter 4 talks about the faith of Abraham.

A verse that appears twice, at least as I know it, maybe more, Romans 4:3,

"For the scripture says, 'Abraham believed God, and God counted him righteous BECAUSE OF HIS FAITH'"!!!!!

Also stated in Genesis 15:6.

Romans 4:16-17 shows what happened to Abraham because of his faithfulness to God.

"For Abraham is the father of all who believe.That is what the Scriptures mean when God told him, 'I have made you the father of many nations.' This happened because Abraham believed in God"

That's in Genesis 17:5.

Sittin' at Java Jacks... studying like crazy. Takin' a break to read my Bible and write my blog for y'all. So some back later and you can read what I wrote. I love y'all so much, I love this Bible Challenge. It makes me a happier ( much happier) perosn inside and out... except for today, because I have the worst headache in the world. But I'm still some-what cheerful. It IS my mom's birthday today...so.... see y'all soon!

Psychology

You know? I figured out why people go crazy i this world... PSYCHOLOGY, simply studying it makes me insane. It's so much to read in so little time... AND take notes! But hey, I did sign up for this. I have 4 more hours of studying left today. :D Then it's free time for Lanie!

I read Isaiah 1-6 this morning at about 12:40 before I fell asleep. I will re-read and post it this evenning at about 6. :D Love you guys!

Crave @ 7

Today was a pretty good day. I woke up later than I meant to, got ready, ate, went to Matt's to see what's up, came back home, studied psychology and student development...ate a snack... then I studied some more and left for Crave.

Crave was AMAZING! I truely belive I met God again tonight.. just like last night at Great Escape.

Now I am about to read my Bible and write another blog!! Today was great, and I'm waking up tomorrow morning at 8 and studying some more after I post my Bible study.
